Jessica N. Cohan, M.D. is a general surgery research resident in the Department of Surgery and research fellow in the Institute for Health Policy Studies and is pursuing a M.A. in clinical research at UCSF. Dr. Cohan obtained a B.S. from the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California and her medical degree from the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.

Jessica N. Cohan, M.D.'s primary research interest is the use of shared decision making in surgical patients. Other interests include studying the impact of depression on surgical outcomes, determining factors that contribute to poor quality of life in patients with pelvic floor disorders, and improving communication between surgeons and patients.
